Desired Fate, Chapter 20
Impa and Urbosa were the first to meet Zelda as she climbed down from the battlements. “Well, well…” Impa said good-naturedly. “I knew you could do it, Your Highness.” “Yes, you’ve done well, Zelda.” The corners of Urbosa’s shapely azure painted lips turned up into a comforting smile. “I’m sorry to have worried all of you,” Zelda said, apologetic, but beaming. What a reward it was to share that moment with them. Her father approached slowly, and Zelda’s smile faded as she regarded him. He focused on the triangular light on the back of her hand at first with silent awe, and then his eyes narrowed with suspicion. What had been the key to awakening her power only now? If not intense training and prayer, then what? Zelda noticed that Urbosa and Impa did not take a knee to Rhoam as they might have before, the dire chaos the Calamity had wrought having destroyed all pretense. “Where is—” Rhoam began in a gruff tone. “Rhoam, don’t do this…” Urbosa cut him off smoothly. “Not again...”

Desired Fate, Chapter 19
The soft light of a new day shone upon the land of Hyrule, although the chaos and uncertainty brought on by the Calamity still lingered in the hearts and minds of all—except for one. The princess lay within a tent behind the walls of Fort Hateno, plotting and dreaming. A group of six individuals approached Blatchery Plain, emerging from the narrow path between Dueling Peaks. They traveled with one singular goal in mind—reunite with Princess Zelda. Impa felt as though a sad calm had descended in the wake of her battle to aid Daruk against Fireblight Ganon. To walk away unscathed had been no small feat. She could only imagine what Link and Mipha had faced aboard Vah Ruta, but the knight kept his silence. Urbosa, the only Champion to accompany the party to Fort Hateno, related to them a similar hardship, although hers told of the loss of King Rhoam’s three knight attendants, fallen victim to Thunderblight Ganon. If there was one thing Impa and Urbosa could agree on, it was that

Revali drew back the string of the Great Eagle Bow, preparing to deliver the killing strike to Windblight Ganon as it had grown more and more languid in its movement, and while it was still distracted by Sooga. “This is it!” Revali called victoriously, letting the bomb arrows fly. Sooga dodged the incoming explosives and they collided with Windblight in a grand explosion. The creature’s resounding bestial shriek was like a reward for a battle well fought. Lowering his bow, Revali watched, savoring the moment as the blight hemorrhaged malice. He had faced the most grueling battle he’d ever experienced, and he would live to regale his fellow Rito of his triumph. He turned his attention to the Yiga, still at a loss for their motivations. What had possessed them to turn against Calamity Ganon? Well, whatever… Revali thought. At least it wasn’t the vexingly silent knight wielding the sacred blade who came to save the day. He’d never live it down if it had been him… Revali alighted

Desired Fate, Chapter 17
Kohga and Sooga sat on a grassy hillside looking out over the desolation that was Hyrule Castle. Harsh clouds rolled overhead, obscuring the sun’s light. “I can’t believe he chose princess booty over Lord Ganon. There’s got to be a law against that,” Kohga grumbled. The swine-like apparition that hung over Hyrule Castle issued a low roar that shook Kohga and Sooga where they sat. “Oh shut up, you!” Kohga screamed, raising a fist high in the air. Sooga recovered and turned to Kohga. “A false prophet, just as you said before, but Master Kohga, you were the one who joked about that happening constantly… How did you know?” “...I… I did and I didn’t…” Kohga choked out, still coming to terms with the prophet’s heel turn. Him… Of all people… If I had a banana for every time prophecy man went on a diatribe about how he was chosen... Kohga clarified “I mean, I could just tell by the way he was lookin’ when he called up those visions. So completely absorbed and all... You didn’t even have
